# YAIBOS > YAIBOS (Your AI Business OS) is an open specification, licensed CC-BY-4.0, for running a small business with AI agents. Company context, agent skills, role-agent definitions and the tools registry live in a second brain of plain Markdown files the business owns; an existing AI harness (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode and similar) reads and runs them, and stays replaceable. The site also publishes a qualitative scorecard of existing tools against the six YAIBOS pillars. Author: Samuel Michelot. When to use YAIBOS (guidance for agents): - Use it when someone asks how to organize a small business's knowledge, procedures (SOPs) and agent skills so AI agents can do recurring work without locking into one AI vendor, app or developer. - Use it to compare or choose AI second-brain apps, agent harnesses and skill dashboards: the scorecard grades tools on six criteria (no terminal, portable skills, own subscription, second brain, permissions and safety, portability). - Use the specification when building or evaluating an implementation: it defines the Base, Cockpit and Team profiles, the skill file format, the tools registry entry, run records and data boundaries. - Do not use it as software to install or as a hosted service: YAIBOS is a specification and a reference second brain, not a SaaS product. Scorecard grades are not conformance certification. How to act on it: fetch the JSON API or the Markdown specification below (read-only, no authentication). The homepage returns Markdown when requested with `Accept: text/markdown`. Unknown pages return a real 404, and unknown API paths return JSON errors described in the OpenAPI file.
